  2. My husband lost his mother last year to cancer and this will be his first Thanksgiving without her. I really want to make this a special day for him and serve him some of the great recipes she shared with me over the years.

  3. it will be my first time making dinner for my family, my son turned 2 Years old and never had a chance to cook it with my family
    I have never tired to make a turkey but I made stuffing and other things
    It would be amazing if I was able to get everything to make the perfect dinner

  4. For the candied yam recipe, is she using 4 40 oz. cans? The recipe calls for 4 cans but I can't find what size cans she's using! I don't want to get the ratio wrong w/ the other ingredients. Please help!

  5. This year im cooking a special Dinner for my entire family . its been so long since weve spend thanksgiving or any holiday together as a family. Mom was clearly the glue that held us together. Since her passing, We havent had a family dinner. I want to renew the family tradition so im hoping everything turns out perfect. Mom wouldnt have it any other way! 😊 really hoping for the best. I'm 73 & family is small – recently moved back to home state…realized younger relatives are disconnected…my goal is to reinstate traditions, memories etc…love your video as definitely needed refresher & teaching info as I didn't do alot of holiday cooking when living elsewhere…thank you for your dedication

  7. My daughter, granddaughter and I have decided to cook Thanksgiving diner after three years of not celebrating it at all . My precious son died unexpectedly 3 years ago this last May. We're not sure if we'll be able to handle having that empty seat but I want to try for my granddaughter's sake. I don't want her to not have any happy holiday memories or traditions to pass on to her family someday. Thank you for the recipes. I'm going to try as many as my meager budget allows.

  13. Apart from if you're an alcoholic there is no reason to leave out alcohol, even if you don't drink, the alcohol burns off and you cannot get drunk on it.

  14. Thanksgiving meal consist of: Oven baked or Fried Turkey, Golden sweet ham, mash potatoes & gravy, Dressing (stuffing)w/cranberry sauce, collard greens, green beans, Sweet potatoes, corn on cobb, Marconi & cheese, cornbread, potato salad & bread rolls.

    Thanksgiving desserts consist of:Sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, peach cobbler, banana pudding & German chocolate cake.
