The tiny handbag which recently made its debut in Paris is created by French designer Jacquemus Mini Le Chiquito.
When it comes to fashion it seems there are no boundaries, as from the most gorgeous, weird, outrageous and hideous creations have made its way on many international ramps. And these creations are often not just the couture, but even the accessories that complement the ensemble.
Recently the French fashion label Jacquemus took minimalism to a different extent with the creation of a micro-handbag that measures just two inches in size! The handbag made its debut during the Fall/Winter runway show during Paris Fashion Week. The brand, which is known for its effortlessly beautiful design has already made a name in the industry as their handbags are being favored by the likes of Kim Kardashian and Rihanna.
Nicknamed as the 'finger bag', it measures 5.2cms. Understandably enough, the size of the handbag is relatively small by most standards, it’s still much larger than its little sister, the micro Le Chiquito, which can only comfortably dangle from a finger or two, much less hold the bare essentials of keys, credit cards, and cell phone.
Even though the price is not set for this micro-handbag, the fashion label released a slightly bigger version of the bag, released last year, costs around $500. But, the super small handbags are not the only accessories that are available for the fashion conscious crowd. The handbag is getting some major competition from the tiny sunglasses trend, which certainly makes the case that less is more where style is concerned. But, when it comes to sun protection, maybe not so much.
The tiny sunglasses debuted at the New York Fashion Week in 2018. Love it or hate it, there is no denying that these sunglasses from the 90s are making a comeback for sure. Even celebrities have been spotted wearing small-framed oval sunglasses while they were out on the roads wearing their furry coats and hoodies. The street style at Coachella last year officially confirmed the rise of the 90s sunglasses when celebrities and influencers like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kylie Jenner and her BFF (ex?) Jordyn Woods, Victoria's Secret model Taylor Hill, and many other young fashionistas were seen ditching the massive frames and are opting for smaller glasses.
Basically, every celebrity, model, and It person has been spotted sporting tiny sunglasses as part of their ensemble over the past year. In 2018, it turned out to be one of the must-have accessories. Even if they are not the most practical as they barely cover your eyes as it is, they definitely complement your summery sundresses and they also make your pictures look Instagram worthy. These sunglasses come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. If you are looking for a chic and retro vibe, you can check out the pair worn by Gigi Hadid. If you are feeling sporty, check out these tiny sunglasses by Louis Vuitton. The options are quite endless.
Recently, Priyanka Chopra was seen toting micro purses that can only hold the bare essentials. The star has been spotted with designer handbags that cost up to $11,000 in child size dimensions. On April 24, Chopra was seen wearing a chic dress from Brock Collection. The long sleeve top featured exaggerated puff shoulders and an empire waist with a peplum hem. Even though her sunglasses made her look like a superstar, it was her Jacquemus logo mini bag, measuring 4.75" length x 3.5" height x 2.25" width was the highlight of her entire outfit. The tiny handbag itself cost around $500.
On April 25, the 'Quantico' star was seen attending the Ciroc Empowered Brunch 2018 in a head-to-toe red ensemble that she accessorized with Vivienne Westwood coat with Roberi & Fraud sunglasses and a matching black Stalvey micro bag. The next day, Chopra was seen on the streets of Manhattan looking marvelous in a yellow and pink floral printed shirt and skirt by Prabal Gurung. She amped up her look with her minibag that had the price tag of $11,500 and measured 7.75" length x 3" height x 5".
The same day she changed her outfit to attend the Build Series to discuss her ABC show at Build Studios. She was looking supremely stylish in a multi-colored printed dress by Vivienne Westwood and completed the chic look with grey suede Christian Louboutin pumps. She added a little bit of more bling to her look with Dana Rebecca Designs and with jewelry. But one thing that remained constant was the Small Icon Leather Tote by Versace that cost $1,995 and measured 5.5" tall x 7" wide x 3" depth.
Chopra was seen in NYC wearing a blue suede Michael Kors dress and accessorized her look with strappy lace-up stilettos and one of the tiniest handbag ever seen. The purse that looked no bigger than a coin that looked so small that it could not possibly fit her iPhone, wallet or powder compact.
Well, its the fashion industry we are talking about where anything and everything is possible!
